Machaba Camp

Tented camp in the Khwai concession

Machaba Camp is a tented camp situated in the Khwai concession, a 180 000 hectare big wildlife reserve which borders the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp was build and is decorated in the cozy 1950’s safari style.

Machaba Camp offers 10 luxury safari tents with en-suite bathrooms, sleeping and living areas, outdoor showers and private verandas overlooking the picturesque wilderness.

The main area of Machaba Camp consists of a tented area, a small library and a fresh swimming pool. The camp offers a variety of activities, for example morning, evening and night game drives, guided nature walks, mokoro drives (water level dependent) and visits to the local communities. Wildlife to be seen includes elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, leopard, African Wild dog, Giraffe, some rare antelope species and an abundance of birds.
