Tau Pan Camp

Camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Tau Pan Camp is one of very few camps in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. It is built with the delicate ecologies of the National Park in mind, only using solar power. Tau Pan camp consists of nine luxury en-suite tents, constructed on a raised desk on the ridge of an ancient sand dune.

The tents offer king-sized double beds, living areas, an indoor and outdoor shower and other amenities. The main area of Tau Pan camp is set around the fireplace, a great spot to observe game at a nearby waterhole.

The camp is frequently visited by a pride of black-maned lions (“Tau” means lion in Setswana). Activities offered at Tau Pan Camp are game drives, day trips to the popular Deception Valley, star gazing and nature walks with Bushman trackers.
