General Terms and Conditions at Britz
- Minimum Rental Period: 5 days
- Vehicle Pickup Locations: Maun or Kasane
- One-Way Fees: Additional charges may apply if the vehicle is returned to a location different from the pickup point.
- Long-Term Rentals: Discounts are available for rentals exceeding 50 days.
- Age Restrictions: Vehicles are not rented to persons under 23 years of age. Drivers under 25 years must pay a surcharge. A valid driver’s license must have been held for at least 3 years.
Insurance Options at Britz
Britz offers three different insurance options:
- Standard Insurance (most affordable option, highest excess): Excess/Security Deposit: ZAR 33,000 – ZAR 55,000 (depending on vehicle type)
- Reduced Excess Insurance (lower excess on vehicle damage): Excess/Security Deposit: ZAR 16,500 – ZAR 27,500 (depending on vehicle type). Includes coverage for the replacement of 1 windshield and 1 tire.
- Super Cover (lowest excess, comprehensive coverage – most expensive option): Excess/Security Deposit: ZAR 5,500. Covers the replacement of 2 windshields and 2 tires for rentals up to 14 days; 4 tires for rentals of 15 days or more. Includes towing costs (except for water and clutch damage).
