Nestled in the remote northwest of Botswana, Setari Camp is a stylish and luxurious island retreat in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is accessible only by boat or light aircraft, ensuring a secluded and intimate experience. Located within the private NG/24 concession—spanning over 120,000 acres of untouched wilderness—Setari sits on a small island affectionately known by locals as "Little Duba." Measuring just 1.2 kilometers in length and 700 meters in width, the island is surrounded by seven picturesque lagoons, making it an ideal destination for water-based safari activities.
Accommodation at Setari Camp
Built with a strong focus on sustainability and harmony with the environment, the entire camp is raised on wooden platforms to preserve the delicate ecosystem and provide sweeping views of the surrounding waterways and floodplains. The spacious tented suites are elegantly designed and offer private bathrooms, outdoor showers, large verandas, and panoramic windows—inviting nature right into your room and allowing guests to fall asleep to the sounds of the Delta.
A minimum of two nights stay applies during the high and shoulder seasons. Family rooms are suitable for 2 adults and 3 children (6 years and older) or 4 adults, and standard rooms can accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child (between 6 and 16 years).
Activities and tours at Setari Camp
Setari Camp is best known for its exceptional water-based safari experiences. Guests can explore the Delta’s intricate network of rivers and lagoons on peaceful mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, motorboat cruises, or guided nature walks across the islands. Wildlife sightings may include hippos, crocodiles, elephants, antelope species, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife. During the dry season, when water levels recede, traditional game drives by vehicle are also possible.
For those seeking tranquility, pristine nature, and exclusivity, Setari Camp offers a unique sanctuary—perfect for safari purists, nature photographers, and explorers.
