Kiri Camp

Luxury camp on the Kiri River

Kiri Camp is located within the private NG32 concession on an island in the Kiri River system, shaded by ebony trees and elevated on wooden decks. Its setting provides spectacular views across the vast Kiri floodplains that stretch out in front of the camp. The private concession is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and high concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Botswana to observe African wild dogs. Large herds of buffalo, prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, a variety of antelope species and an impressive diversity of birdlife also inhabit this remarkable wilderness.

Accommodation at Kiri Camp

The camp features ten luxurious safari-style designer tents, accommodating a maximum of 24 guests. Eight spacious double tents and two family tents are positioned on raised wooden platforms along a gentle slope, offering sweeping views over the surrounding river landscape. Each elegant tent includes a comfortable sleeping area, seating space, an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda. The family tents feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making them ideal for families or small groups travelling together. Wi-Fi is available in all accommodations.

Activities and tours at Kiri Camp

As Kiri Camp is located within a private concession, guests can enjoy not only traditional morning and afternoon game drives but also night drives and off-road safaris, providing outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities beyond those available in most national parks. Depending on seasonal water levels, the Okavango Delta can be explored both by land and by water. Activities include guided bush walks, birdwatching, seasonal mokoro excursions and boat safaris along the waterways of the Kiri River system. During the annual flood season, the waterways reveal breathtaking perspectives of the delta, while experienced guides provide fascinating insights into the ecology and wildlife of this unique wilderness.
