Kala Camp is a small and exclusive safari camp located in the northern reaches of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Tucked away in a private concession, the camp offers an authentic bush experience for travelers seeking tranquility, close connection to nature, and a warm, personal atmosphere. The surrounding landscape features seasonal floodplains, winding waterways, islands, and open grasslands—an ideal habitat for diverse wildlife and bird species.
Accommodation at Kala Camp
The camp consists of just a handful of comfortable tented units, each built on raised platforms that blend seamlessly into the natural environment. Each tent is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda—perfect for taking in the sounds and sights of the African bush. The main area includes an open-plan lounge and dining space, where guests can relax and share their safari stories around the campfire.
During peak and shoulder seasons, a minimum stay of two nights applies. The tents can accommodate up to two adults. Children under 12 are not accepted at Kala Camp. Children over 16 pay the full adult rate.
Activities and tours at Kala Camp
Kala Camp offers a variety of activities, including traditional game drives, seasonal boat excursions, and guided bush walks. Wildlife viewing is excellent, with regular sightings of lions, elephants, buffalo, antelope species, and a wide array of birdlife.
