Kadizora Camp
Private game lodge in the northern Okavango Delta
Kadizora Camp is located in the remote northern part of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, between the Vumbura River and the Selinda Spillway. The region is characterised by seasonal floodplains, lagoons, waterways and vast savannahs. The camp is situated on a peninsula covered with mature trees and offers sweeping views of the surrounding river landscape. Marula, fig, jackalberry and rain trees provide shade and shape the natural setting of the camp.
Accommodation at Kadizora Camp
The camp comprises a total of twelve accommodation units: three standard tents, eight luxury tents and one deluxe villa. The tents are furnished in a classic style and positioned to ensure privacy and unobstructed views. Each tent has a private veranda and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and two washbasins. The deluxe villa offers more spacious accommodation for families or adults travelling together. It can accommodate four adults or two adults and two children. The standard tents feature either a king-size bed or twin beds, a private bathroom with a shower, and a raised viewing platform. The luxury tents also have a bathtub. The deluxe villa comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining area, and a private swimming pool with a terrace. Guests staying in the villa have a dedicated guide for game drives, mokoro excursions and boat trips.
The communal areas are arranged around a central firepit. The bar, lounge, reception and restaurant form a horseshoe-shaped complex, with a wooden walkway leading to the swimming pool. An elevated bar offers views across the floodplains. In addition to indoor and outdoor lounge and bar areas, a traditional boma provides a setting for convivial evenings around the fire. The kitchen serves freshly prepared meals, and guests can enjoy drinks outdoors before dinner. Kadizora Camp is situated in a malaria area. Children under six are not permitted, while prior enquiry is required for children under eight.
Activities and tours at Kadizora Camp
Activities include daily game drives in open safari vehicles accompanied by experienced guides, boat trips and excursions through the Delta’s waterways in a traditional mokoro, a shallow dugout canoe. Fishing is available seasonally. On request, guests can also visit a traditional village and gain insight into local community life. Hot-air balloon flights over the Okavango Delta are offered at an additional cost between May and mid-September.
The camp has its own airstrip, located approximately ten minutes away. The flight from Maun takes around 35 minutes, while the flight from Kasane takes approximately one hour and 20 minutes.
