4 Rivers Camp
A secluded camp on the Tsum Tsum River
The 4 Rivers Camp is located in the western Kwara Private Concession, which covers an area of 175,000 hectares in the northern Okavango Delta. This region is truly exclusive – no other camp has access to this part of the concession. The camp sits directly on the banks of the Tsum Tsum River, whose floodplains were once said to be accessible only via four deep crossings – the inspiration for the camp’s name.
Accommodation at 4 Rivers Camp
The camp consists of nine spacious tented suites, including one family tent. All are set on raised wooden decks and offer magnificent views of the surrounding floodplains. At the heart of the camp lies a welcoming central area with dining space, lounge and swimming pool – the perfect place to relax between safari activities.
Access to 4 Rivers Camp is easy by light aircraft or helicopter. The private airstrip lies about 20 minutes by vehicle from camp; flight times are approximately 30 minutes from Maun or 80 minutes from Kasane. Overland transfers from the neighbouring Splash and Kwara Camps are also possible as a full-day safari excursion.
Activities and tours at 4 Rivers Camp
The location on the Tsum Tsum River offers a unique blend of landscapes. To the west, wide floodplains provide excellent game drives and exciting predator tracking opportunities. To the east, the river branches into a small inland delta – a mosaic of wetlands and wooded islands, best explored by mokoro or on foot. A special highlight is Maboa Island, the largest island in front of the camp. Its forests are only accessible on foot, making walking safaris a true speciality of 4 Rivers.
