Safari romance in the Okavango Delta
Set within a private 260,000-hectare reserve in the southern Okavango Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, lies Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp – a classic safari camp that blends the charm of old-world expeditions with modern comfort. The camp is named after the famous African explorer Henry Morton Stanley. The surrounding landscape shifts between seasonally flooded plains, river channels, woodlands and grasslands, and is home to an impressive diversity of wildlife.
Accommodation at Stanley's Camp
The camp features ten traditional safari tents, each raised on wooden decking and designed with canvas walls and spacious verandas to preserve the authentic safari style. Comfortably appointed with en-suite bathrooms and elegant furnishings, every tent opens onto sweeping views of the surrounding bush.
At the heart of the camp is an open lounge and dining deck with bar, as well as a swimming pool – a perfect spot to relax and watch elephants, antelopes or even predators wandering nearby. Guests enjoy refined cuisine with both international and African influences, served either in the open-air dining area or beneath the star-filled African sky.
Activities and tours at Stanley's Camp
Stanley’s Camp offers a wide range of safari experiences, from day and night game drives to guided bush walks with expert guides, as well as mokoro excursions in traditional dugout canoes when water levels allow. The private reserve is home to large herds of elephants, along with lions, leopards and wild dogs. Hippos, giraffes and numerous antelope species are also common sightings. Thanks to its remote location and intimate scale, the camp guarantees exclusive and deeply immersive safari experiences.
