Monachira Camp
Tented camp at the Monachira River
Monachira Camp is located in the Moremi Game Reserve on the edge of the Monachira Channel, not far from the famous Gudigwa heron colonies, and offers great views of thousands of herons, egrets and storks. If you're lucky, you might also spot the well-camouflaged Pel's Fishing Owl and the rare Sitatunga, a semi-aquatic swamp antelope.
Monacheri Camp offers 10 luxurious safari-style eco-tents with en-suite bathrooms, sleeping and living areas and private decks overlooking the wildlife-rich floodplains and wetlands of Monachira.
The oversized lounge area is the social hub of the camp. Here you can meet other safari visitors at the bar, relax in the lounges or chat around the large fire pits. You can find peace and relaxation by the pool or with a spa treatment. Monachira Camp offers fantastic nature walks as well as exciting trips in a mokoro or by boat.
