Mokete Camp

Minimalist luxury camp in the heart of Mababe

Wilderness Mokete is set in the remote Mababe Depression, a private concession of over 50,000 hectares between the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. This unique landscape combines open grassland plains, mopane and acacia woodlands, and a seasonally flooded marshland. Especially in the dry season, vast herds of buffalo and zebra gather here, closely followed by prides of lions, clans of hyena and packs of wild dogs.

Accommodation at Mokete Camp

Mokete features nine elegant tented suites, raised on wooden platforms, each with its own plunge pool and spacious interiors. The design is intentionally minimalist, blending natural tones with the surrounding wilderness. Expansive glass fronts open out to uninterrupted views of the landscape, while retractable roof sections invite guests to fall asleep beneath the stars. Central guest areas include a lounge, bar, firepit, dining deck and swimming pool, all overlooking the sweeping grasslands.

Activities and tours at Mokete Camp

Safari experiences at Wilderness Mokete are entirely dictated by nature. Game drives take place by day and night and are not limited by time, allowing guests to stay out for as long as they wish to follow wildlife and capture the best light for photography. Bush picnics and guided nature walks add to the variety, while the sunken hide provides unforgettable encounters with elephants at eye level. For a truly unique perspective, scenic helicopter flights over the Mababe Depression are also available.
