Khwai Lediba

Nature, Luxury, and Adventure in the Okavango Delta

Khwai Lediba is a luxury tented camp located in the private Khwai Concession in northeastern Botswana, adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp offers an authentic atmosphere and expertly guided safaris for a maximum of 16 guests. During the dry season from May to October, conditions for wildlife viewing are optimal as animals gather around water sources. The rainy season from November to April is particularly suited for bird watching and photography, as the landscape becomes lush and vibrant.

Accommodation at Khwai Lediba

The camp features seven luxury tented accommodations, each with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, and a private veranda overlooking the surrounding wilderness. An additional family tent is ideal for families or small groups, offering two interconnected bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The central camp area includes an open dining area with kitchen, a bar with lounge, a pool, and a fire pit. Guests can enjoy meals and drinks both indoors and on the terrace, surrounded by sycamore and leadwood trees.

Sustainability plays a central role at Khwai Lediba. The camp is powered by solar energy and uses eco-friendly systems to minimize its environmental footprint. Through the African Bush Camps Foundation, the camp supports local education and conservation projects.

Activities and tours at Khwai Lediba

Khwai Lediba offers a diverse range of activities on both land and water. Game drives take place in the morning, evening, and even after dark. Mokoro safaris—traditional canoe trips on the Khwai River—are guided by local polers, allowing guests to experience wildlife up close. Guests can also join guided walking safaris for an immersive nature experience and enjoy birdwatching, especially during the rainy season from November to April. Cultural tours to nearby Khwai communities provide insight into local life and traditions. A highlight is visiting the local preschool, where guests can learn more about the educational initiatives supported by the camp.
