Khwai Expeditions Camp is located in the Khwai Community Concession, right on the northern border of the Moremi Game Reserve and close to Chobe National Park. Surrounded by riverine forests, mopane woodlands, open savannah, and seasonal lagoons, it offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing opportunities. The camp is owned by entrepreneur Tshidi, who places great value on supporting the local community and creating a warm, personal atmosphere. Guests can reach Khwai Expeditions Camp either by 4x4 vehicle or via charter flight to the nearby Khwai River Airport.
Accommodation at Khwai Expeditions Camp
This small, exclusive camp features six luxurious tents, all with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas overlooking a tranquil lagoon. In addition, the camp offers a self-catering cottage with a fully equipped kitchen for families of up to two children. At the heart of the camp, guests will find a stylish lounge and dining area shaded by an ancient Jackalberry tree, a fire pit for convivial evenings, and a swimming pool for relaxation between safari activities.
Activities and Excursions at Khwai Expeditions Camp
Year-round activities include day and night game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve, traditional mokoro trips by dugout canoe along the Khwai River, guided bush walks, birdwatching, bush breakfasts, and cultural visits to the Khwai village. Experienced guides lead guests in search of lions, leopards, wild dogs, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of antelope and bird species.
