Luxury camp at the Khwai river

Hideaways Mogotlho Safari Lodge is situated on the banks of the Khwai River in northeastern Botswana, nestled between the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. This region is one of the country's most wildlife-rich wilderness areas, characterised by extensive mopane woodlands and the seasonal floodplains of the Okavango Delta. The Khwai River provides an important habitat for a wide variety of wildlife and offers outstanding game-viewing opportunities throughout the year.

Accommodation at Hideaways Mogotlho Safari Lodge

The lodge features 13 spacious tented suites, each elevated on a wooden platform and offering uninterrupted views of the Khwai River or the surrounding bush. Every suite is equipped with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, and a private veranda with comfortable seating. Baby cots are available on request for families travelling with young children. The generous spacing between the tents ensures a high level of privacy.

The open-plan main lodge includes a spacious dining area, a comfortable lounge with a bar, and a small library. A large wooden deck overlooking the river forms the heart of the lodge and is an ideal place to watch wildlife gathering at the water or to enjoy spectacular sunsets over the African bush. Additional facilities include a swimming pool, complimentary Wi-Fi in the main lodge, and a laundry service.

Activities and tours at Hideaways Mogotlho Safari Lodge

Guests can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, guided bush walks led by experienced guides, and seasonal mokoro excursions along the waterways of the Khwai region. The lodge also offers visits to the nearby Mababe community, providing an opportunity to learn about local conservation initiatives, community projects, and the traditional way of life of the area's residents.
