Safari experience at a waterhole in the Khwai Reserve

Elephant Pan, formerly known as Hyena Pan, is located in the remote northern part of the private Khwai Reserve—nestled between the iconic Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. Surrounded by mopane woodland and open plains, the camp overlooks a permanent waterhole that draws elephants and other wildlife year-round.

Accommodation at Elephant Pan

The camp features eight comfortable, classically styled safari tents, each with en-suite bathrooms, solar-powered lighting, and a simple, cozy design. A standout feature is the underground hide at the waterhole, offering up-close and low-angle views of animals as they come to drink - perfect for photography and unforgettable encounters. For an added adventure, guests can spend a night at the nearby Skybeds - raised sleeping platforms under the stars, deep in the wilderness. 

Activities and tours at Elephant Pan

Activities include guided day and night game drives, bush walks, and relaxed wildlife watching from camp. Optional excursions into Moremi Game Reserve or scenic helicopter flights are also available. The area is rich in wildlife, with frequent sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, antelope, and a wide variety of bird species.
