Mochaba Crossing is located about 30 kilometers from Maun along the route to the Moremi Game Reserve, Savuti, and Chobe National Park, offering an ideal blend of tranquility and wilderness. The camp is set in a picturesque environment and serves as the perfect starting point for a safari adventure or a relaxing stopover on the way to Botswana’s famous wildlife areas.
Accommodation at Mochaba Crossing
The camp features a total of 17 accommodations with 34 beds, divided into different categories. Seven en-suite rooms, including a family room with two bedrooms, offer modern comforts such as air conditioning, a refrigerator, a desk, and a cozy double or twin bed. In addition, there are four en-suite tents with private bathrooms and five standard tents that share communal sanitary facilities.
For travelers who want to experience nature up close, six spacious campsites are available. Each site is equipped with its own fire pit and offers water and electricity connections, complemented by shared sanitary facilities and a cooking and washing station, which is also accessible to guests in the standard tents.
The central area of Mochaba Crossing includes a restaurant, a bar, and a swimming pool, inviting guests to relax after an eventful day. Wi-Fi and secure parking are also available. For groups, Mochaba Crossing can provide the ideal setting for meetings and team-building activities upon request.
Activities and tours at Mochaba Crossing
The Moremi Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta are among Africa’s most impressive regions, promising unforgettable experiences amid breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Mochaba Crossing offers the perfect starting point for exploring these areas. Guests can choose to explore the Moremi Game Reserve independently with their own vehicle or join guided activities led by experienced local guides. Full-day game drives are available, and for those who enjoy paddling, there are full- or half-day Mokoro excursions in the so-called OKMCT Community Concession. Culturally interested guests can take part in guided village walks, and additional activities include boat trips, for example along Matapana Beach.
