Exclusive Safari Luxury on the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

San Camp is one of the most exclusive safari camps in Botswana, offering guests a truly unique safari experience amid the breathtaking landscape of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Situated on the edge of the shimmering, endless expanses of the Kalahari Desert, the camp is open only during the dry season (typically from April to October), when the pans are accessible and at their most spectacular.

Accommodation at San Camp

Accommodation consists of just a handful of spacious suites styled as classic safari tents, each featuring an en-suite bathroom, running water, and sweeping views across the salt flats. The ambiance is nostalgic and almost colonial, yet defined by comfort, tranquility, and highly personalized service.

Activities and tours at San Camp

What makes San Camp truly special is its extraordinary range of activities. Guests can join guided walks with San Bushmen and learn about their ancient knowledge of the land, discover the fascinating flora and fauna of the region, or encounter wild meerkats up close. Other highlights include quad bike excursions across the endless pans, sightings of zebra, oryx, and springbok, and romantic sundowners in complete solitude.
