Boutique hotel at the Chobe River in Kasane
Chobe River Lodge is a small boutique hotel with twelve rooms, located directly on the banks of the Chobe River in Kasane and close to Chobe National Park. Owner Leana Ries took over the lodge in October 2019 and had the property extensively renovated. From the lodge, guests can access the national park by both road and boat; the drive to the park entrance takes approximately ten minutes. Kasane International Airport is also within easy reach.
Accommodation at Chobe River Lodge
Chobe River Lodge is a small boutique hotel with twelve rooms. The accommodation comprises six spacious luxury suites overlooking the Chobe River, one ground-floor family room with a king-size bed and two single beds, and five courtyard rooms. Three of these rooms also feature a sofa bed for children. All accommodation units have a private bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee-making facilities. The Riverview rooms are located on the ground and upper floors, while the Courtyard rooms are situated at ground level and face the courtyard.
The communal areas include spacious indoor and outdoor areas with lounge and seating facilities, a bar, and a restaurant. The garden extends down to the river and offers direct views of the water. The outdoor area features a swimming pool with sun loungers. Guests also have access to a reception area, separate ablution facilities, secure parking, bookshelves, and a small collection of curiosities. Massages and beauty treatments are available through a mobile spa service, with treatments also offered on guests' private verandas.
Activities and tours at Chobe River Lodge
Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles as well as boat cruises on the Chobe River. The Chobe National Park area can be reached after a short boat trip. The lodge also arranges day trips and transfers to Victoria Falls. Fishing is also available seasonally.
