Located in the lively town of Kasane and right on the banks of the mighty Chobe River, the Chobe River Cottages offer a delightful combination of privacy, nature, and the comfort of a well-equipped holiday home. They are ideal for families, self-drivers, and travelers who want to experience safari adventures around Chobe National Park with maximum flexibility and comfort.
Accommodation at Chobe River Cottages
The Chobe River Cottages consist of six units, each accommodating up to four guests. Every cottage features a bedroom with either a double bed or two single beds, as well as a living room with a pull-out sofa bed that is perfect for children or an additional adult. Modern bathrooms with shower, toilet, and washbasin provide comfort, while air conditioning, ceiling fans, and mosquito netting ensure restful nights. A highlight is the fully equipped kitchen in each unit, complete with fridge, microwave, hob, crockery, and all essential utensils, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. The living rooms also offer DSTV television and free Wi-Fi.
The outdoor facilities add to the comfort: a swimming pool provides refreshment on hot days, furnished verandas and braai (barbecue) areas invite guests to spend relaxed evenings, and the riverside deck offers the perfect spot to observe the Chobe River and its abundant wildlife. Thanks to its central location, shops, restaurants, banks, and other amenities in Kasane are all within walking distance – combining convenience with tranquility by the river.
Activities and tours at Chobe River Cottages
The surrounding area offers a wealth of activities: game drives in the world-famous Chobe National Park are a highlight, as are boat cruises on the Chobe River, where elephants, hippos, and countless bird species can be observed. Fishing trips and rounds of golf on the nearby course are also available, and those wishing to venture further can take day trips to the magnificent Victoria Falls in Zambia or Zimbabwe.
