Eco-luxury lodge in the Savute region
Deep in the southern part of the renowned Chobe National Park lies the elegant Savute Elephant Lodge. It blends seamlessly into the wild beauty of the Savute region and provides a comfortable base for spectacular wildlife viewing.
Accommodation at Savute Elephant Lodge
Each of the twelve suites measures a generous 52 square meters and is built on elevated wooden platforms to offer an unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape. The suites are topped with traditional African thatched roofs and feature an elegant interior with a canopy bed, comfortable sofa, desk, and a dressing area with bathrobes and slippers. The en-suite bathrooms offer both indoor and outdoor showers, allowing guests to enjoy an authentic nature experience. The private decks of each suite are furnished with a spacious daybed, two chairs, and a table—ideal for relaxing hours while observing passing wildlife. Many suites offer direct views of the waterhole, which is regularly visited by elephants and other animals.
The lodge also features an exclusive spa area, where guests can fully unwind with massages and wellness treatments while enjoying views of the Savute landscape.
Activities and tours at Savute Elephant Lodge
The lodge offers daily game drives in the early morning and late afternoon. In addition to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, and a variety of bird species can be spotted. For bird enthusiasts, special bird-watching tours are available between December and March. A particular highlight of the lodge is the private observation hide, from which guests can watch the activity at the waterhole up close. Additionally, excursions are offered to the approximately 1,500-year-old San rock paintings and the impressive baobab trees of the region.
